SALON REVIEW : TWISTS AND LOCS

I think one of the major challenges that natural haired girls face is finding a salon that meets our hair needs.
This is a difficult aspect in our lives since most of the hair stylists in Ghana are trained to work with relaxed hair and tend to treat natural hair in the same manner, often using rattail combs to comb through our coils of hair.

This experience has very often been painful and terrifying for me . For many months after going natural, I feared walking into salons and after some experiences,I vowed never to trust any one with my hair.

In no time, I got bored looking the same way all the time plus I feel that hair needs a break from all the handling I subjected it to. Therefore, I decided to try a salon I had heard about from a lot of people. Twist and Locs !!!

One of the main reasons delaying my going there was because it was more expensive than regular salons in Gh. But after my disastrous hair experience, I decided it was worth giving it a try.

Overall, it was wonderful to be in a salon where there were other women who had natural hair like me. I was amazed at how long some peoples natural hair was and served as a motivation for me to keep being natural. The cost of braiding hair is according to how long you want want it.

Please not that I paid for services myself. Have a Great Day!!!
