Prior to finding blogs and videos about healthy hair care, Abena had severe breakage which kept her at shoulder length constantly. Abena’s hair was limp from over processing and relaxer run overs gave her a lot of breakage.
This led to dryness that left her hiding the hair under weaves and braids. At the salon, the stylist would flat iron the hair without any form of heat protection, deep conditioning after shampoo; She absolutely did nothing for my hair except to slap on some hair pomade daily.
Around early 2011, She decided to google how to care for relaxed hair and had a ton of blogs popping up stirring her interest in caring for her own hair.
When she began hair journey, she couldn’t find any hair blog in Ghana. That vacuum influenced her to start Ghanaianemprezz which is the premier hair blog in Ghana. Ghanaianemprezz came about as a result of her own nick name-Emprezz.
Abena shares and explores hair care; her trials and successes and ultimately, knowledge of hair care with women especially those in Ghana. She loves to read and follow other blogs, love watching well scripted movies, reading about life and how to live it, and writing about hair care.
