Am Tempted To Transition

My Hair is becoming a chore.

I love straight hair but with taking care of myself and a baby plus possible tight work schedules and change of location, I can't handle my hair the way I want to.
There are times I wish I could skip washing for a month but that's not possible with relaxed hair. You are aware am not able to wear extensions for long; I enjoy handling my own hair.
If am going to be braiding to ease the stress, I will still have to nurture the hair to prevent damage to the relaxed parts. I don't have the energy and time to do that. At least natural hair can withstand "negligence" for a while.
I can braid and not worry about new growth.

I know if am transitioning, I will deal with line of demarcation; that won't be a problem because I won't be concerned with maintaining the relaxed parts.

I need help! I love my straight hair.

  1. Wow, it sounds like your having a hard time, have you tried wigs? that way you can braid your own hair underneath and you can get away with washing your hair every other week or every two weeks.

  2. Sounds like you're totally overwhelmed with you hair chica! I'd say go with a wig for a few weeks and do the bare minimum to your hair until you have time to handle it.

Good luck honey! This stressful period will soon be a memory!
