System Detoxification: The Fruit Detox
Our bodies are systems, and just like any other system it will need to be cleansed regularly. This is where detoxification comes into play.
Detoxifying your body is totally necessary, as it rids it of all unwanted substances as well as waste materials that have not been able to leave due to one reason or another.
There are various ways by which one can detox the body. We'll be focusing on the use of fruits today! :)
• Fruit Detox
This form of detox involves strict eating of fruits for an entire week. You could stick to one fruit or mix different forms of fruits.
These fruits can be ingested either normally or as a smoothie. For your smoothie you could add a bit of milk (soya bean milk or almond milk preferably).
The ingestion of fruits such as watermelon, banana, pineapples and mangoes will aid in getting rid of the toxins that slow down our rate of metabolism. Slowed metabolism increases the amount of waste stored internally, converting it into excess fat as time goes on.
Try the fruit detox today! Fruits only for a full week, and start to eat right immediately after; by controlling your portions, eating more vegetables and drinking more water. You'll be surprised with the results.
