Last Wash Day for 2017

Image
Using the s curl no drip activator moisturiser has been a blessing to my hair as I don't have problems with dryness, at least for now.

I used the Native Child Moisturising shampoo to wash twice to remove all build up. I need a fresh scalp therefore the clarifying shampoo was the best option.

I followed with VO5 kiwi lime squeeze conditioner, I love this product so much. After January though, I'll switch to the aphogee 2 minutes reconstructor or the balancing moisturizer for weekly deep conditioning treatment. That will strengthen my hair as it gets longer.

After washing, I just applied Jamaican black castor oil hair food. I won't use the hair milk or leave in until I have about 3 inches of hair when the hair will need more moisture.

I'm optimistic about 2018 being a year of natural hair glory. I take my gummies daily and plan to continue with supplements until I can braid box braids. That's the first goal for 2018. I'll do a full video and post it tomorr…

We've Got Our Edges Goals

Image
I'm so optimistic about 2018 and I know it's going to be awesome when it comes to my natural hair.

I'd usually cut my hair in January or February but 2017 was a year of cutting so we are entering 2018 with already short natural hair LOL. I still won't be purchasing new products in 2018 so it's going to be quite monotonous as regards wash day products. However, the exciting part is getting to grow with me again. I turn 33 this year and 3 is a blessed number for me. I can't grow 33 inches but I can aim for 12 inches in the 12 months, and that's what I want to achieve.

Aside the ESO scalp oil and of course my supplements, I will also use rice water as a weekly rinse to thicken the hair as well as add shine to it. I may take Natrol Hair Skin and Nails vitamins (I discovered this in October 2017). It's 2 months supply so I can use that from February to March. So what am I taking for January? Mane choice vitamins because it has less biotin. My body can&…

Why I cut Off Almost All My Hair So Often

This post is a follow up on the post I put up a few hours ago. There are some things I had to think through before sharing them. Personally, I love to share the nitty gritty of my journey but 2017 wasn't about my hair. It was about feeling good and comfortable. I did cut off all the relaxed hair but not to go natural in 2018.

The reason for trimming off the relaxed parts was because it was over processed and as such looked redish. As a blogger, I need to set good examples and I didn't want to go into 2018 with that damage.

The first goal now is texturize only 4 times in the year. After the barber cut off the redish top off, I felt a renewed energy to grow the hair healthy again. I didn't discuss the over processing because I wanted to get things sorted.

Why the over processing? The first 2 relaxer applications were basically on the short hair but the tips suffered too much damage. In as much as I wanted to reach armpit length, I don't like to do so with damaged hai…

Merry Christmas- 2017 Recap

Image
Through it all, we've been blessed to witness this season.

This year was anot interesting one for the reason that I virtually kept cutting off the hair to maintain it short. That wasn't the plan but I guess enjoying the short hair made me forget about the 2017 goals LOL.

This year too, I finally put finishing touches to the sulphur oil branded as ESO hair oil - Emprezz Sulphur Oil. I look forward to seeing more reviews from customers.

Lastly,  I moved from only hair to skin care products in the shop too. You can now get cleansers, scrubs, toner, sunblock, and masks. The best news is that we'll be going physical in 2018 so stay tuned for updates. Our physical shop will be it more easier to walk in for products as well as allow us expand the product lines.

It's been an amazing yet roller coaster year and I pray 2018 is more favourable.

As for the hair, I'm fully 100% natural and tapeered!! I've been using the ESO scalp oil on the edges and the scalp and I'…

Washing Tapered Cut Natural Hair

Image
Washing tapered natural hair has been so much easier and fun to do. I've incorporated giava leaves rinse and rice water rinses to aid in keeping the shine and softness as well as increase growth.

Although I won't be using hair vitamins in 2018, the ESO Scalp oil and these rinses  will certainly contribute to fat hair growth. I'm  planning on starting my dawn jogging before 1st January or go back to the gym in order to lose some weight. These excerises also increase blood circulation hence fast hair growth.

When I said I didn't intend buying any hair product in 2018, I knew some will doubt it so  I'll continue with the occasional empty products  updates  for you to know how it's going. I don't mind give away ones or sample ones but I'm definitely not purchasing anything in 2018.

The vitamin I wanted to use for 3 months was the mane choice hair vitamins but as it stands now, the prenatal will suffice.

When I get my new phone, I'll be sure to add pictu…

Wash day + New Tapered Hair

I've been washing my hair at least every 3 days but haven't been able to take pictures because I don't have a working phone at the moment.

The washing have been pretty simple and easy:
1. Shampoo with either Butterflygh shampoo or the native child shampoo.
2. Deep conditioners with beauty formulas tea tree deep conditioner  (I've emptied that now).
3. Apply ESO Scalp oil or Jamaican black castor oil hair food. I do skip leave in because my damp hair is enough for moisture.

I use the S curl np drip activator moisturiser whenever the hair feels dry.

The tapered cut has left two textures on the hair; the top has the texlaxed hair and the back is completely natural. I'll have the back trimmed again in a few weeks times as well as a bit of the top for healthy ends. I'm enjoying the hassle free tapered cut so much but that doesn't change any of my goals for 2018.

The reason being that the tapered top has to get long enough for styles. As for the back, I won't…

I Got My Hair Done+ESO Scalp Oil Results !

Image
I've been at this stage over and over again hence I'm not so excited but what pleases me is the growth I had within a month.

I haven't been taking any supplements so it's pretty amazing to see such growth from the ESO scalp oil (I didn't expect anything less though).

The last cut was 27th September therefore to achieve a roller set at this point is simply a huge success with the ESO.

I'll wash tomorrow evening and get it deep conditioned. I'll also keep applying the ESO on the scalp alongside scalp massage.

I'm waiting for my women's multivitamins to arrive so I take them.

I guess we are back to weekly updates or so Lol. This is quite exhilarating!
