Two Weeks After The Big Chop

The 6 months challenge of the hair group I belong to has began and I'm super excited to share my progress with you each week.

I will try and post pictures of what I'll using and doing. For the mean time, I'll be getting the Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil shampoo and conditioner and a few more growth shampoos and more.

I hardly shampoo my hair; I use the creme of nature apple cider vinegar rinse each week. When the hair gets a bit longer, I'll then shampoo weekly. It's been great so far with the weekly rinse as my scalp has been quiet clean and the hair hasn't been overly dry.

For moisturizer, Is spray the hair with rice water and then I use Palmers Hair Success Grow Treatment and follow with Jamaican Black Castor Oil to seal.

I have not been using anything else on the scalp; I want to do that with the Castor oil until the bottle is empty since it's been open for a couple of months now and I don't want it to go rancid. I'm paying particular attention to my edges so they can fill in by the time I begin braiding with kinky hair (which I'm hoping will not give me any troubles of allergies like the kanekolon hair)

For the edges, I alternate between Dr. Miracle Temple and Nape Balm and Groganics Head full of hair creme.

This week will be the 3rd week since I big chopped and I'm super excited about how my hair is progressing. I can't wait to have a head full of hair! When your hair is short, it appears patchy therefore when it starts growing in and filling in, you get a more rounded look Lol.

To style, I use an Afro comb and I know  that this comb will be my savior for a long time to come because my 4C hair is a hand full.

Since I have a bit of the relaxed hair at the ends, I'll trim the hair when I hit 6 months to get rid of the left overs.
