Have You Traveled? Hair Care Tips For A New Environment

This post is relevant for those who have lived in this part of the world and are relocating or have relocated to colder climates.  First, before traveling, get a long term protective style like weave on or braids. These can last for about 3 months as you settle in.  Two. Don't worry about brands when you get there. What Happened This Week?Relaxer Update!

Let’s say this is the first official relaxer for 2023!  The ORS olive lye relaxer was used and because my hair is still short, I did the process on my own. However, that will change because my hair has gained a lot of length so the next touch up will be at the salon. After application, I left it to sit for about 10 minutes to process and then rinsed off under the shower using warm water. Then, I applied mega growth neutralizing shampoo three times to ensure everything was out of the hair. With each wash, I left the shampoo to process for about 2 minutes before washing out.  Next, I  used up the last bit of Olaplex No. 0 and left it for 10 minutes. I shampooed again with John Frieda detox shampoo because of the Olaplex.  Lastly, I used the John Frieda detox  conditioner. After rinsing it out, I was too exhausted so I saturated the hair with Olaplex oil and went to bed with a bonnet over the hair. This was the best decision because I woke up with hydrated ha...
